Pumpkin Flame in Autumn’s Embrace

I’ve just finished a little oil painting called *Pumpkin Flame in Autumn’s Embrace* a cozy study of one particularly quirky pumpkin. It’s not your everyday rounder; this one has personality in every curve, glowing in warm orange tones that almost feel like a secret held tight. I placed it against a dark backdrop to let those textured ridges and its imperfect shape really stand out. A branch with wilted leaves stretches above, adding a touch of autumn’s slow farewell. There’s something quietly satisfying about capturing how even fading things can hold a soft kind of light, like a whispered nod to the season’s gentle shift. It’s small—just 8 by 10 inches—but full of autumnal character, and I had a lot of fun bringing that rich orange color to life.
